Join your fellow medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals for an R.T. Day in Jefferson City! Sponsored by the Missouri Society of Radiologic Technologists, Inc., the event will provide you with an opportunity to meet with your state representatives and senators to educate them about the radiologic technology profession and the need for licensure standards for Missouri patients.
We will be meeting in HR2 starting at 0900 for a short presentation, giving you an idea of what it is we are doing and how to go about speaking with your Representatives and Senators. Spoiler alert: They are people just like you and are certainly interested when people, especially their constituents, stop by for a visit to speak about topics that are important to them.

MoSRT is pleased to announce our next advocacy day at the Capitol, RT in JC. This is an opportunity for technologists and students in Missouri to speak with your legislators in Jefferson City.
We will be filing a bill soon which will assure Missouri patients of quality Radiology procedures by educationally prepared and clinically competent individuals. This is your opportunity to ask your legislators for their support for the bill. Once our bills are filed, look for more information once we have a bill number. Then you can have a specific ‘ask’ when speaking to your senator and representative in Jefferson City in February.
But be sure to mark your calendar NOW to attend this advocacy event and bring your fellow technologists/department. Once registration opens, look for more information.

The four-day workshop is designed to provide radiologic technologists interested in mammography and experienced technologists with the initial training necessary to fulfill the requirements set forth by MQSA and is an excellent resource for technologists intending to take the ARRT Mammography registry in the near future.

Wednesday February 7, 2018 will be our day at the capitol. We will be back in the House side, HR 2 (hearing room). We have had our event in this hearing room before; it is fantastic that we can have use of this room because this is the one room that will not get ‘bumped’ when the legislators go to their committees.
Keep an eye on the mosrt.org webpage. Updates will be posted here. With ASRT’s help, you will see some emails later this year for registration notices. Educators, I hope this is enough notice so that you can plan to have your students attend.
